Dr Graeme L Blackman Qualifications: BSc (Hons), PhD, FRACI Dr Blackman has been involved in pharmaceutical research and consultancy since 1977 when he was appointed to the faculty of the Victorian College of Pharmacy. From 1982 to 1986 he was Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and since that time, he has been Chairman and Managing Director of the Institute of Drug Technology Australia Limited. He has published extensively in physical chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry, especially in the areas of drug analysis and pharmacokinetics. Dr Robyn Elliott Qualifications: BSc (Hons), PhD Dr Robyn Elliott has a PhD in chemistry and has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 1986. Robyn has had extensive experience in the development and international registration of active pharmaceutical ingredients and pharmaceutical finished products. Robyn’s involvement with all aspects of the drug development process at an international level has given her an understanding of each component of the process and an insight into the needs of potential clients who look to IDT for expert advice and support. Since joining IDT in 1995 she has been paramount in guiding and developing IDT into the exciting and successful company it is today. Dr Ross Woods Ross has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Melbourne, with a background in drug synthesis and metabolism. He joined IDT as a Senior Scientist in 1976 and was involved in establishing IDT’s initial role as an interface between industry and academia, through the Victorian College of Pharmacy. Ross’s career at IDT has spanned all aspects of drug discovery, drug development, scale-up and bulk API manufacture. In recent years Ross has been responsible for successfully overseeing technology transfer operations from a number of Australian, Japanese and US companies to establish the manufacture of their bulk API’s at IDT. This has covered both the transfer of existing innovators products for supply to the US market, as well as the process development and scale-up of new drug candidates for clinical trials in Australia and overseas. During this period Ross has gained considerable expertise in the preparation of Process Development and Validation Reports and in preparing technical data packages for all types of other regulatory support documentation. Adrian McKenzie Adrian is IDT’s Finance and Administration Manager and is responsible for all financial and accounting matters relating to the company. Adrian joined the company in 1999 after spending 10 years with the largest international firm in the world, PricewaterhouseCoopers, reaching the level of senior manager. The area of the practice that he primarily worked in was audit but he has also been involved in corporate finance and due diligence areas. Adrian has extensive international experience having worked in both the UK and USA for a number of years with his previous employers.
